Quawntay "Bosco" Adams is a Compton native, author, and former prisoner.

Sentenced to 35 years in prison for possession of marijuana, Bosco fired his attorneys and fought his way to freedom 19 years early.

He has since founded Chasin’ Freedum and Jailhouse Publishing, two grassroots projects that champion the rights of the incarcerated.

BOSCO, a motion picture about his life, is currently in production.

“When people are free, they are neither controlled nor motivated by fear, greed, hate, anger, or propaganda. Therefore, racism, oppression, injustice, and man-made laws do not deter them, and prison bars and poverty cannot silence them.”

“My story has a message of hope. One that should inspire you to find your meaning and purpose in life. One that will prove that we are not lost souls here to be destroyed and wasted. Yet, we are warriors for a cause, and our purpose is to fight to make changes that will better our conditions.”
